Specimen Requirements

Container/Tube: Lavender-top (EDTA) tube

Specimen Volume: Full 10-mL tube of whole blood

Collection Instructions: Immediately invert tube and mix gently 8 times.

Note: Label specimen appropriately including patient’s date of birth.
