The Valley Hospital in Paramus, NJ, is proud to be the hospital of choice for hundreds of thousands of residents of northern New Jersey. Valley is a fully accredited, acute care, not-for-profit hospital with 370 licensed beds. In 2025, 61,493 individuals were admitted to Valley, 81,664 people were treated in the Emergency Department, and 4,459 babies were born.

 

As a not-for-profit hospital, Valley is committed to giving back to the community. Valley serves the community by providing thousands of hours of healthcare education and screenings, support groups and classes to assist those in need, and care to all those who come through our doors, regardless of their ability to pay.

 

In 2024 Valley Hospital provided $201,600,843 in uncompensated care attributed to charity care, bad debt and Medicaid & Medicare shortfalls.

 

Valley has been named one of America’s 100 Best Hospitals for 2026 by Healthgradesfor the fourth year in a row. This distinction places Valley in the top 2 percent of hospitals nationwide. Valley is one of just five hospitals in NJ, and the only hospital in Bergen County, to earn this recognition for 2026.

 

In addition, Valley is designated a Magnet facility for nursing excellence from the American Nurses Credentialing Center, and has since continuously designated since 2003.
