Specimen Requirements

Container/Tube: Grey-top (potassium oxalate/sodium fluoride) tube(s)

Specimen Volume: 1 mL of plasma

Collection Instructions: 

Draw blood specimen for a fasting glucose.
Give the patient 75g of glucose drink
Draw blood 2 hours after drinking. 
 

Note: Label specimen appropriately.
